Ok so i noticed a couple of days ago, firefox had an update from version 4 to 5, and i was just wondering "whats the difference?". I haven't noticed any speed or performance improvements.
Although, Firefox 4 introduced lots of impressive features over its earlier release, Firefox 5 only adds minor improvements and few new UI features. Two such notable features are the “Do Not Track” button and channel switcfirefox 4her in Firefox 5. It is estimated that Firefox 5 provides improved memory, JavaScript, canvas and networking performance compared to Firefox 4. Firefox 5 includes improved spell checking for more locales than Firefox 4. Mozilla claims that Firefox 5 provides dramatic performance improvement for its Linux users. Furthermore, they say Firefox 5 has better support for HTML5, XHR, MIL and Math ML.
I have two desktop computfirefox 4ers and on one I have Firefox 4.0 and on the other one I have Firefox 5.0 and I really don't notice any difference. They are both really good.
Its not major at all because their switching to a quicker release cycle so they can catch up chrome with their numbering.
One thing they have done us retain the tab position temporarily as they are being closed so you don't get the wrong tabs.
