I know you said you didn't want country, but these are 2 "can't miss" racing songs:

"Twentieth Century Drifter" by Marty Robbins, &
"Stroker's Theme" by Charlie Daniels Band.

Give them a try, and actually listen to them. Don't just say "ugh, yuck, country," and move on. Both songs have a really good beat that you can race to. Both songs are ABOUT racing, they don't just MENTION racing in them.


BTW....Marty Robbins.....Actually RACED NASCAR, so I think he knows what he's talking about in his song. Can you say that about any of the "rockers"?

Probably still in my top five favorite songs I have ever heard. I'm 56 and this song has been around since 1977 and is still just as awesome as the first time I heard it.
Just my opinion but I think if you take time to listen I think you will agree. Queen did rock pretty heavy at first.
