Why can metals conduct electricity while in the solid phase but ionic compounds cannot????

PLZZZ HLP ME I NEED THE ANSWER BECAUSE IT IS GOING TO BE ON MY CHEMISTRY TEST TOMORROW!!!
Electriciwhy can metals conduct electricityty is moving electrons.
The electrons is metals are loosely held to the nuclei, so they can move around.
The electrons in an ionic compound are bound tightly to the ions, so they can not mwhy can metals conduct electricityove.
electric conductors like metals often have many electrons in their outer shells. Electrons in outer shells are held less tightly to the nuclei so they are jump from atom to atom easily.
